NARS is Departing Neiman Marcus – well buh-bye Francois!

OK, I admit I WAS a NARS junkie. I could practically stock the counter (although I don’t have duplicates). And NARS was a big reason why I became a Neiman Marcus customer. They had a GREAT makeup artist–Pablo. Ah-MAZE-ing. I learned so much about the line and application tips, etc.

Well, he left a few years ago. He’s probably a Famous Artiste by now, as he is extremely talented. HOWEVER…

I heard today that NARS is departing Neiman Marcus to go to the “other N store.” I’m disappointed. Neiman Marcus is the top of the heap. You leave there, you’re slumming, IMO. And the Minneapolis store has another great artist now, named Meghan. It’s too bad she won’t be continuing her career with NARS. She’ll probably go to another line, as Neiman Marcus would be wise to hang onto her.

But Bye Bye NARS. I’m glad I have enough stock so that I won’t need to go to that other store.

Super cute pumps by Bettye Muller. Four inch heel, but there is a built-in platform. Pretty and will go with lots of outfits! No – haven’t gotten them…yet.

Neiman Marcus Accepts VISA/Mastercard as of 11/1/11

OK – don’t know how I missed this, but as of 11/1/11, Neiman Marcus is now accepting credit cards other than the Neiman Marcus credit card (like VISA, Mastercard, etc.).

This will likely increase their traffic, because you still get unparalleled customer service and can pay with cards you already have.

Although I have been a loyal user of the NM card, this is nice. I like the Perks and InCircle rewards on my NM card, but I can pick up miles, cash, and other, possibly better, rewards on my other plastic.

One drawback – now my friends and family will do their own shopping instead of me buying the items on my card on their behalf (it used to mean more points for me!).
